On November 2, 2023, at 12:10 p.m., the Stearns County Emergency Communications Center received a call regarding a crash with injuries on County Road 3 near River Street, east of the city of Holdingford. It was reported that a truck veered into the ditch and rolled.
Upon arrival, deputies located a 2010 Toyota Tundra resting on the driver’s side in the ditch. The driver, identified as Wayne Bieniek, 63, of Bowlus, was still trapped inside of the vehicle. Bieniek had been traveling north on County Road 3 when he veered into the east ditch. He struck a field approach and vaulted approximately 100 feet. The vehicle rolled and came to rest on the driver’s side. Holdingford Fire and Rescue were able to free Bieniek from the vehicle. He was then transported to the St. Cloud Hospital by Mayo Ambulance.
