Danton W. Grube

April 8, 2026 by Hometown News

Danton W. Grube was born on December 23, 1949, passed away on March 21, 2026, at the age of 76. He was the son of Harry T. and Ernestine Grube, husband to Michelle (Mikki) E. Grube, father of Amber Dawn and Adam David Grube, and grandfather to three grandchildren, Zach Grube, Ebony Lawson, and Calvin Cooper Jr.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 A.M. on April 21, 2026, at Seven Dolors Catholic Church in Albany, Minnesota. Visitation will start at 10 AM at the church.
Mr. Grube was born and raised in Indiana, but spent most of his life as a resident of the Saint Cloud area and ultimately, Albany, Minnesota. A proud Alumni of both Wabash College and Indiana University. In his professional career he was many things, including IT professional, college professor, and professional driver for Executive Express. But, most importantly, he was a husband, father, and grandfather. His great passion and love for his family was visible in everything he did. He was the kindest person you’d ever meet, and if you ever got the chance, he had a great story to tell.
Outside of his professional career, he was heavily involved in Boy Scouts during both his son Adam, and his grandson Zach lives. He sang in a number of musical groups, including the church choir at Seven Dolors and Cold Spring Area Maennerchor. Being active in his community and showing up for his family and friends helped him push through tough times. Even at the late age of 76, he was sharp as a tack; he worked every day and loved every minute of it.
His final resting location will be Seven Dolors Parish Cemetery in Albany, Minnesota, but he will remain Dad, Grandpa, and Dan Grube, forever.
