Delores Isensee, 88 of Long Prairie died February 7, 2016. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Saturday February 13, 2016 at the St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, Long Prairie. Visitation will be held Friday, February 12, 2016 from 5:00-8:00 pm and again one hour before the service at the church.
Delores was born October 4, 1927, in Watkins, to Frank & Josephine (Burgraff) Burger. On May 14, 1947, Delores married Floyd Isensee at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Long Prairie. Delores and Floyd owned and operated the Long Prairie Laundromat and the Long Prairie Car Wash for many years. In 1968, they bought the bus company and operated it as the Isensee Bus Company for 42 years. Delores enjoyed dancing with Floyd, baking, especially pies, playing cards, reading books and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was a member of St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church and the Christian Mothers.
Delores is survived by her daughters: Bev (Ron) Foote of Browerville, Lynn Isensee of Long Prairie; grandchildren: Kurtis (Jill) Foote of Fargo, ND, and their children: Kaitlyn, Matthew and Allie, Kim (Adam) Morrill of Browerville and their children: Blake and Lacey, Ryan Thompson of Long Prairie, Amanda (fiancé Eric Hennington) Thompson of Sauk Centre, Adam Thompson of Long Prairie, Stephanie (Dave) Knudsen of Dike, IA and Jeff Budlong of Sioux City, IA; siblings: Lloyd (Bev) Burger of Long Prairie, Bobby Burger of Two Harbors; sister-in-law Ann Burger of Long Prairie; son-in-law Jim Budlong of Dike, IA and many nieces and nephews.
Delores is preceded in death by her parents; husband Floyd, infant son Douglas, daughter Susan Budlong, four sisters and 3 brothers.
