Dolores E. Waldorf

Mass of Christian Burial celebrating the life of Dolores E. Waldorf, age 88 of Albany, was held Tuesday, May 22 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Freeport. Burial was in the Sacred Heart Parish Cemetery. Dolores died on Thursday, May 17 at Mother of Mercy Care center in Albany. Arrangements were made by the Miller-Carlin Funeral Homes.
Dolores was born April 29, 1930 in Freeport to Ralph and Wilhelmina (Wensman) Job. Dolores was united in marriage to Roman J. Waldorf on June 23, 1953 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Freeport. The couple made their home on the family dairy farm in Albany, where they proudly raised registered Holsteins for 40 years. Dolores enjoyed sewing, quilting, crocheting, gardening, playing cards and singing with the church choir. She was a member of Christian Mothers, Daughters of Isabella, Knight of Columbus Auxiliary, a volunteer with 4-H, and a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Freeport. Dolores will be remembered for her devotion to her family, her faith, incredible memory, and friendly spirit.
Dolores is survived by her children; Stephen (Nancy) of Olivia, Carol (Rich) Primus of Albany, Gregory (June) of Avon, Mary (Denny) Popp of Rice, Sharon (Larry) Jacobson of LeRoy, Lucy (Keith) Overman of Freeport, Ronald of Albany, Beverly (Frank ) Tokarz of Victoria, Edith Gerads of St. Stephen, Bonnie (Jeff Solum) of Excelsior, Roxanne (Mark) Newton of Lino Lakes, Chris of St. Cloud, Robert ‘Bob’ (Amy) of Hanover, and Noami ‘Ami’ (Ron) Ohmann of Albany; 32 grandchildren, and 20 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers and sisters; Dorothy Blommel of Grey Eagle, Edward Job of Freeport, Arthur (Joan) Job of Dayton, Mary Jane Urbasich of St. Anthony, Louis (Mathilda) Job of Freeport, Rich Job of Des Moines, IA, Clara (Jerry) Michael of St. Rosa, and Ethel (Bernie) Carlson of Brownsville, TX.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Roman, 2004; sister Marcella ‘Sally’ Berscheid; and brother Harold Job, and her brothers and sisters-in-law; Agnes Job, James Blommel, Jane Job, Nick Berscheid, and John Urbasich.
