Donald W. Erickson, age 88 of Cloquet, passed away Thursday, April 30, 2015 at Essentia Health Care in Duluth. Services were held Saturday, May 9, 2015 at Nelson Funeral Care in Cloquet.
Donald was born August 13, 1926 in Burtrum, MN to Christian and Ethel (Lewis) Erickson and graduated from Grey Eagle High School. Don was united in marriage to Dona Jean Snell on October 3, 1948 in McGregor, MN. They moved to Cloquet in 1971 and owned and operated Erickson Hardware. Don was a member of the Cloquet Presbyterian Church.
Don was preceded in death by his parents; wife Dona; sons Steven and Roger; one brother, Lamoine; and step-mother, Clarice Erickson.
He is survived by son Jonathan Erickson (Larry); daughter LaRae (Larry) Paguio; daughter-in-law Linda Erickson; grandchildren Leandro, Shandrea, Jeremy, Jonathan and Jessica; brothers Dean (Annette), Lloyd (Shirley) and Harold (Linda) Erickson; sisters Audrey (Kenny) Stevens and Norma (Howard Carry) Niemeyer; his special friend, Lillian Salmi; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
