Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 13, 2018 at St. Mary of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Long Prairie for Donna Mae Browen who died Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at the CentraCare Health Nursing Home. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to services Saturday at the church in Long Prairie.
Donna was born on March 12, 1935 in Mitchell, South Dakota. Donna married Ivan Browen in 1951 in Yankton, South Dakota. They had eight children.
Donna lived most of her adult life in the Burtrum area. They lived for 20 years in Superior, Wisconsin. She traveled for 18 years with her husband, Ivan, driving semi-truck. She loved to embroider on pillowcases, play cards, shake dice and visit with family and friends.
She is survived by her children, daughter-in-law Mary Browen, Audrey Browen, Raelene (Myon) Minkel, Terry (friend, Kayla Sobiech) Browen, daughter-in-law Monica Browen, Paula (LeRoy)Kiminski, Marilyn Browen, Jon (Laurie) Browen; many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Donna Donovan, Dorothy (Bud) Dereks, Charleen (James) Kuehne, Sonia Browen, Audrye Morrison, Margaret Browen; and brother-in-law, Gerald Garlock.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel Rover Donovan and Margaret Ann Donovan, her husband, Ivan in 1997; sons Donald in 1984 and Richard in 2011; sister, Eleanor Olinger; and brother, James Donovan.
