Doyle L. Fellbaum, 63 year old resident of Culdrum Township, MN, passed away on Saturday, September 2, 2017. A Memorial Service will be held at 11 AM on Friday, September 15, 2017, at St. Peters Lutheran Church in Swanville, MN. Burial will be at St. Peter’s Cemetery in Swanville. Arrangements are with Shelley Funeral Chapel in Swanville, MN.
Doyle was born on January 13, 1954 in Little Falls, MN to Bernard and Arlysse Fellbaum. He has two older brothers and a younger sister. He started life on their farm in Swanville, MN. The family moved to San Bernardino, CA where Doyle went to school from first grade through two years of college. He studied aviation mechanics.
He moved to St. Cloud, MN to work as a machinist. He spent time in Swanville, working on his cousin Steve Fellbaum’s farm. He moved to San Clemente, CA to care for his parents and he took a job at Burroughs Corporation then Unisys Corporation, developing integrated computer circuits. He took training in Medical Insurance. He then moved back to Swanville and was hired by Precision Tool Technologies where he worked many years.
Doyle had many skills and hobbies. He enjoyed playing guitar and was especially skilled at playing acoustic blues. He was a good swimmer and devoted surfer. He also enjoyed fishing and hunting. His yearly fishing trip to Canada became his favorite passion. He would take pictures and movies to document each trip.
Doyle’s survivors include his brothers, Dale and his wife Patricia and Daryl; sister, Sheryl Towle and husband Jerry.
Doyle was preceded in death by his parents.
