Eleanor was born on April 21, 1926 in Opole to Valentine and Veronica (Struzyk) Solarz. She had many good times with her sisters and loved a good laugh. While at a dance hall in St. Wendel, she met the love of her life – She married Alfred Molus on May 13, 1950 at Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Opole and they had five daughters. Eleanor worked at St. John’s University as a food services supervisor for over thirty years. She often took students under her wing. Eleanor’s family was the most important thing to her and she was a great mom. Every Sunday, Alfred and Eleanor enjoyed their traditional, Sunday, family meal. She taught her daughters how to clean, bake, cook, shop, and work hard.
Eleanor is survived by her husband Alfred; daughters, Patti (Charlie) Berscheid of Avon, Mary (Gerry) Heitzman of Holdingford, Brenda (Herb) Blonigen of Avon, Sherri (Brian) Sand of Albany; sister, Bernice Namyst of Eagen ; brother, Leo Solarz of Minneapolis; ten grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Shirley Molus in 1987; siblings, Elizabeth, Dorothy, Marcy, Angie, Janet, and infant sister, Marie.
The family would like to extend their thanks to Dr. Patrick Heller and the staff at CentraCare Melrose Clinic for their care and compassion for Eleanor.
