Enid Beck

Enid was born February 29, 1924 to Wesley and Mathilda (Homberg) Martin in Sauk Centre, Minnesota. She married Oliver Beck August 17, 1942 at the United Methodist Church in Sauk Centre and made their home on a farm in Leslie Township where they raised their family. Enid worked on the farm with Oliver and worked at Hart’s Press for twelve years. Enid was very active in her church and community; she was leader of Clotho Rockets 4-H Club and belonged to the following organizations; member of the United Methodist Women, Leader of the Methodist Youth Fellowship (MYF), FATS Club and a lifelong member of the VFW Auxiliary. Enid served for many years as Administrator Council (Chair & Member) for Clotho, MN. She was a member of the Clotho United Methodist Church and Peace United Church. She was an avid quilter, an excellent cook and an awesome baker.
Enid will long be remembered for her kind heart, her love for the Lord and her ability to develop sweet friendships with people of all ages.
Enid will forever be cherished by her grandchildren for the relationships she forged with them by playing with them, teaching them a multitude of skills and listening to them with her heart.
Enid is survived by her children, Becky (Larry) Reynoldson, Steve (Karen) Beck, Ron (Joy) Beck, daughter-in-law, Connie Beck, son-in-law Roger Stender, 17 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren and one sister Gwen Norby and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Wesley and Mathilda, husband, Oliver, son Gerry Beck, daughter Susan Stender, daughter-in-law Barb Beck, sisters, Vera, Verna, Myrtle, Dorothy, Gail, Laura Mae, Tam, Joy, Carol; brothers, Jesse, Fay, Orville, Genard and Ralph.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 21, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Peace United Church in Long Prairie. Visitation will be held Friday, September 20 from 5:00 PM-8:00 PM and Saturday at 10:00 AM until the service at Peace United Church. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery, Long Prairie.
