Evelyn R. Kennedy, age 95 of Willmar, formerly of Sauk Centre, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 11, 2022 at Bethesda Grand in Willmar, Minnesota.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, December 16 at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Sauk Centre. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the church.
Evelyn Rose Pastian was born May 1, 1927 in Sauk Centre, Minnesota to Gottlieb and Mathilda (Sandau) Pastian. She graduated from Sauk Centre High School and worked at various medical facilities. She was united in marriage to Gerald Kennedy on March 27, 1951 in Sauk Centre, Minnesota. After marriage, Evelyn worked at Fingerhut while raising her family. She was a member of St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Sauk Centre. Evelyn enjoyed gardening, reading cooking and baking, and loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her sons, Dale (Cindy) Kennedy of Bird Island, Steve Kennedy of Brainerd, and Don (Cathy) Kennedy of Brooklyn Park; four grandchildren, Jennie (Dan), Melanie (Chad) Mike (Taylor), and Anne; six great-grandchildren with one on the way; and several nieces and nephews.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Kennedy; parents; and nine brothers and sisters.
Arrangements were made with Patton-Schad Funeral & Cremation Services of Sauk Centre.
