Man injured in farm accident.
On September 19 at approximately 12:32 pm, the Stearns County Sheriff’s Office received the call of a farm accident that occurred in a field near County Road 30/County Road 174 in Oak Township. A male party had been pinned between a pickup truck and a loaded silage wagon and was reported to have injuries to his lower extremities. When officers arrived on scene, the victim identified as Ronald Waldorf, 58, of Albany, was no longer pinned but had significant injuries to his leg. Waldorf was treated on scene by Freeport Rescue and Melrose Ambulance and was transported to the Melrose Hospital. Waldorf was flown to the St Cloud Hospital by Lifelink Air Ambulance. The driver of the pickup identified as Diane Boeckers, 62, of Melrose, was not injured. It was learned through investigation that the accident occurred when Boeckers and Waldorf were trying to hook the loaded silage wagon to the pickup truck. Boeckers was backing the truck up to the silage wagon when the accident occurred.
