Frank J. “Frankie” Kramer

Frank J. “Frankie” Kramer age 82 of Long Prairie, Minnesota passed away on Sunday, November 12, 2023 at the CentraCare Health in Long Prairie, Minnesota.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, November 17 at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Sauk Centre with Rev. Greg Paffel officiating. Burial will be at the parish cemetery with military honors by the Sauk Centre United Veterans Honor Guard.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Patton-Schad Funeral Home in Sauk Centre and from 10 to 10:45 a.m. Friday at the church in Sauk Centre.
Frank Joseph Kramer was born April 3, 1941 in Sauk Centre, Minnesota to Frank and Frances (Gettel) Kramer. He attended country school and later enlisted in the United States Air Force and was honorable discharge due to an injury. Returning home, Frank started working at Franklin in St. Cloud for a few years before working at Westman Silo Company. Frank married Pearl Heinz in August of 1966 and they later divorced. Soon after, Westman Silo Company closed their doors and Frank moved to the Twin Cities where he worked various jobs including Canterbury Downs and Shakopee Valley Printing. After a few years, he moved back to the Long Prairie area and went back to work and retired from Electrolux in St. Cloud. In August of 1990, he married Gloria Crebbe at their home in Long Prairie.
Frank enjoyed learning about history, especially the World War II period. He enjoyed hunting with his brother, LeRoy, and family, as well as tinkering around the house and doing yardwork.
Frank was a member of St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Sauk Centre and a lifetime member of NRA, National Rifle Association.
Survivors include his wife, Gloria Kramer of Long Prairie; sons, Scott (Tammy) Kramer of Waite Park and Gary Kramer of Long Prairie; daughter, Kimberly (Andrew) Sandy of Eagle Bend; grandchildren, Nicole (Quinn) Rhoda, Amanda Kramer, and Courtney Peine, Kandi Eiynk and Kody Eiynk (fiancé, Casey), Leslie (Justin) Sandy-Rinde, Alexander Sandy, and Brianna Sandy (fiancé, Nick Brown); 21 great-grandchildren; step-daughters, Pollyanne (James) Lombardi of Michigan and Tammy Lynn (Dennis) Fischer of Florida; former wife, Pearl Kramer of Long Prairie; brother, LeRoy (Mary) Kramer of Long Prairie; and sister, Darlene Becker of Mahnomen.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents; infant daughter, Cassandra Jean Kramer; twin grandsons, Scott and Shaun Kramer; two great-grandchildren; stepson, Burton “Buck” Hittle, Jr.; and one infant brother.
Arrangements were made with Patton-Schad Funeral and Cremation Services of Sauk Centre.
