Free Webinar on Helping Families Facing Addiction

October 12, 2020 by Hometown News

Join clinicians and experts across St. Cloud and Central Minnesota for a unique opportunity to learn about strategies, resources and care for families facing addiction.

On Oct. 20, Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation and CentraCare will host a free webinar that will begin with inspirational recovery speaker Tom Farley, who will share insights about families and addiction. He is the brother of the late comedic genius, Chris Farley, who struggled with substance use disorders before dying of a drug overdose.

The webinar also will connect participants with experts from Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation and CentraCare:

Interventionist David Marion will discuss the most-effective options when a family member is resistant to getting help for addiction.
Psychiatrist John M. Schmitz, MD, and CentraCare Addiction Services Director Breanna Bouley will talk about integrating treatment for substance use disorder into total health care.
Lydia Burr of Hazelden Betty Ford will offer a brief overview of recovery programs and services available.

This free webinar is from 11 a.m. to noon Oct. 20. To register, please go this the following link: https://vs.centracare.com/events/details/?eventId=3feb9beb-c9fd-ea11-a838-000d3a611c21
