George F. Hulinsky, Sr., age 83 of Burtrum, passed away surrounded by family on Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at his home near Burtrum, Minnesota.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, December 8 at Faith Community Church in Burtrum.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.
George Frank Hulinsky was born January 4, 1935 in Burwell, Nebraska to Frank and Lillian (Codr) Hulinsky. After completing the 8th grade, George stayed home to help his dad on the ranch in Nebraska. In 1962 George moved to Minnesota and attended welding school in Albert Lea. He worked at Little Falls Machine Works for a few years and then he started farming and milking cows. George passed the farm onto his son, David and his grandson, Greg. He also drove school bus for the Long Prairie/Grey Eagle School District for 13 years.
George was a member of Grey Eagle United Methodist Church. He enjoyed fixing and repairing things, dancing, old time music, and Czech Music.
Survivors include his children, Debbie (Dave) Karnes of Fridley, David (Shirley) Hulinsky of Burtrum, Dolores (Larry) Greene of Dodge Center, George Hulinsky, Jr. of Ramsey, and Joann (Dirk) Brandis of Novato, CA; 15 grandchildren; and sister, Betty Heil of Loup City, NE.
George was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Eldon Hulinsky; and sister, Irene Seidel.
Arrangements were made with Patton-Schad Funeral & Cremation Services of Grey Eagle.
