Gerald (Jerry) Tamm, age 75 of Albany, died peacefully, surrounded by his family on Friday, May 4, 2018 at the St. Cloud Hospital.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at Seven Dolors Catholic Church in Albany.
Jerry was born on January 27, 1943 in Albany, Minnesota to Norbert and Alma (Bechtel) Tamm. He graduated from Albany High School in 1961 and served in the U.S. Army Reserves from 1961-1964. He married Ruth Linn on February 7, 1970 at Sacred Heart Church in Freeport, Minnesota. Jerry worked for Smurfit-Stone Container Corporate in St. Cloud for over 40 years, retiring in 2008.
Jerry enjoyed fishing, playing cards and cribbage, gardening and spending time with his family, grandchildren, and friends.
Jerry is survived by his wife of 48 years, Ruth of Albany; Children, Cory (Toni) of Minneapolis, Bryan of Monticello, Tricia (Dave) Lowe of Denver, CO; grandchildren, Jack Tamm, Anna Tamm, Casen, Harrison and Hudson Lowe; Siblings, Dennis Tamm of Albany, Kathy (Lee) Moening of St. Cloud, sister-in-law Joan Tamm of Clear Lake, and many extended family members.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Gene Tamm.
