Meeting – May 16, 2012
The special meeting of the Grey Eagle City council was called to order by Mayor Jim Gohman at 6:30 p.m., on the 16th day of May, 2012 in Council chambers. Council members present were Thom Muellner, Dennis Barrett, Joe Arnzen and Andrea Kraska. There were no council members absent. Also in attendance was Lori Hellmann.
The council discussed the options for hiring for the maintenance position. These options were:
1. Combining the maintenance position with the water/wastewater position.
2. Salary or hourly position.
3. Health insurance reimbursement or contributions to a Health Savings Account.
4. Paid time off or paid vacation.
5. Bereavement days and paid holidays are already a part of the personnel policy.
6. Updating job duties for the position to include all duties for water/wastewater.
7. Discussed changes to the Maintenance employee job description/requirements.
The council reviewed applications received for the full time position.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:35 p.m.
