Call to Order: Ron Frericks called the meeting to order at 8:00 pm.
Members Present: Ron Frericks, Ray Bense, Mary Ann Primus & Mike Rohe.
Ron asked for approval of the resolution to conduct the Township meeting by telephone. Mike made that motion, Ray made the second. Roll call vote – Ray – yes, Mike – yes, Ron – yes.
Agenda Approval: A preliminary agenda was presented. Ron asked if there were additions to the agenda. Ray made the motion to accept the agenda. Mike made the second. Roll call vote – Ray – yes, Mike – yes, Ron – yes.
Approval of Minutes: The clerk provided copies of the March 2, 2020 minutes to the board. Mike made the motion to accept the minutes. Ray made the second. Roll call vote – Ray – yes, Mike- yes, Ron – yes.
Town Clerk’s Report: Clerk presented the claims list for March. Claims list included claims 3418-3434 for a total of $4,141.02. Ray made the motion to approve the claims as listed. Mike made the second, Roll call vote – Ray – yes, Mike – yes, Ron -yes. Mail included advertising and training available through Minn LTAP. Two letters from Todd County planning and zoning. An e-mail was received to cancel the County weed meeting, Information for the weed inspector was sent later.
Road and Bridge Report: Erv H. joined the meeting at this time. Ray said not much to report, roads are in good shape except for a few holes which can wait till frost is out. Discussion on how to handle the annual road check. It was decided to wait on this, if issues come up they can be handled at that time. Some shouldering will need to be done on 335th and also on Arden Drive. Ron asked Ray to contact Midwest Asphalt as there are some spots and cracks that need to be filled. Erv H. presented his contracts for 2020. Blading was proposed at $95.00 an hour, a slight increase from last year. Mike made the motion to accept the bid. Ray made the second. Roll call vote- Ray – yes, Mike- yes, Ron – yes. The gravel bid was at $8.15 per yard. Ray made the motion to accept the bid at $8.15. Mike made the second. Roll call vote – Ray – yes, Mike – yes, Ron – yes. Dust control for 2020 is same cost as last year $75.00 per 100 ft. so it is offered to property owners at cost share of $37.50 per 100 ft. Ray made the motion to accept the bid. Mike made the second. Roll call vote – Ray – yes, Mike – yes, Ron – yes. The notice for the beach maintenance and dust control will be posted and published.
Additional agenda item: The equalization meeting for April 15 – meeting will be opened then recessed to the rescheduled date of May 11.
