Call to Order: Ron Frericks called the meeting to order at 8:00 p.m.
Members Present: Ron Frericks, Ray Bense, Mary Ann Primus & Mike Rohe. Erv Herdering joined later.
Agenda Approval: A preliminary agenda was presented. Ron asked if there were additions to the agenda. Mike made the motion to accept the agenda. Ray made the second. Motion carried.
Approval of Minutes: The clerk provided copies of the July 6, 2020 minutes to the board. Ray made the motion to accept the minutes. Mike made the second. Motion carried.
Town Clerk’s Report: Clerk presented the claims list for July. Claims list included claims 3470-3482-for a total of $12,161.39. This included the ditch mowing and spraying. Ray made the motion to approve the claims as listed. Mike made the second, Motion carried. Mail included a P&Z letter and a Census reminder.
Road and Bridge Report: Ray checked roads after the heavy rain, Mary’s Lake, 144th, 116th and Chipmunk were some with washouts; also, Arden Drive. Spraying was done. Crack filling, Ray will need to call. Discussion on the benefits and cost savings of having all gravel roads treated for dust control. Ron received a call about a driveway and one about a tile thru a hill which may have collapsed.
Additional agenda item: Discussion on the Cares Funding Act- how to use the funds for the Township. Motion to submit the form to the State was made by Ray. 2nd was by Mike. All in favor. Motion carried.
Election update: Needed to pass a resolution to authorize a contract with interested officer under Minn. Stat. 471.88 subd 5 so that Ron can act as Election judge. Mike made that motion, 2nd by Ray. Motion carried.
Public Comment: Erv stated that 150th could use some more work and 130th W. needs some gravel.
Adjournment: Motion by Mike to adjourn the meeting. Ray made the second. Motion carried. Meeting adjourned at 9:05 p.m.
