Call to Order: Ron Frericks called the meeting to order at 8:00 pm. The pledge of allegiance was recited.
Members Present: Ron Frericks, Ray Bense, Mary Ann Primus, Mike Rohe and Erv Herdering. Ron Warner and Daryl Bacon were also present.
Agenda Approval: A preliminary agenda was presented. Ron asked if there were additions to the agenda. Mike made the motion to accept the agenda. Ray made the second. All in favor. Motion carried.
Approval of Minutes: Ray made the motion to accept the December 6, 2021 minutes. Mike made the second. All in favor. Motion carried.
Daryl Bacon and Ron Warner were in attendance to discuss moving a house along Arden Drive. They have permission to cut some trees along the roadway that would be a problem for the movers. Trees to be cut will be flagged prior to cutting. Any damage to Township roads will be repaired by the owner or mover. Ron will be notified when a date is set for the actual move. Ray made the motion to approve the move. Mike made the second, All in favor, Motion carried.
Town Clerk’s Report: Clerk presented the claims list for December. Claims list included claims 3640-3648 for a total of $15,142.26. Ray presented a claim from Klemish Tree Service from this summer. Mike made the motion to pay the claims including the one for Klemish Tree Service. Ron made the second. All in favor. Motion carried. Mail included a letter from surplus services, the league of cities and an email about a clerk/treas training. The contract with Elmdale Township will be reviewed and sent to Elmdale Township for another 10 years at $400.00 per year. The reorganization list was discussed all items remained the same except for a raise in hourly pay for supervisors to $28.00 and the clerk at $30.00. Mileage was increased to the IRS rate of 58.5 cents. Mike made a motion to approve the reorganization items, Ray made the second. All in favor, Motion carried.
Road and Bridge Report: Ray stated not much to report, brushing was finished, and the posts on 311th have been removed. Ray and Ron signed the weed report for the County.
Additional agenda item: Board members received copies of the Grey Eagle Township Comprehensive Plan to review and will be discussed at the February meeting. The annual audit meeting is scheduled for February 14, 2022 at 8:00 pm.
