Grey Eagle Township – May 4, 2015

Call to Order: Ron Frericks called the meeting to order at 8:00 pm. The pledge of allegiance was recited.
Members Present: Ron Frericks, Ray Bense, Mary Ann Primus & Mike Rohe.
Agenda Approval: A preliminary agenda was presented. Ron asked if there were any additions to the agenda. Ray made the motion to accept the agenda. Mike made the second. All in favor. Motion carried.
Approval of Minutes: The clerk provided copies of the April 6, 2015 minutes to the board. Mike made the motion to approve the minutes as written. Ray made the second, all in favor. Minutes approved.
Town Clerk’s Report: Clerk presented the claims list for April. Claims list included 12 claims for a total of $9,062.92. Mike made the motion to approve the claims; Ray made the second, Motion carried unanimously. Letters received included advertising, Planning and zoning notices and the League of Cities Directory.
Treasurer’s Report: Mary Ann Primus presented the treasurer’s report as follows: Beginning Balance as of April 1, 2015: $165,798.21; Checks cleared: 18, $25,137.35; Deposits including interest: $18.62; Balance as of April 30, 2015: $140,679.48; Outstanding Deposits: 0.00; Outstanding Checks: $611.80; Cash Available: $140,067.68; CD Balance: $123,009.08
Ray made the motion to accept the treasurer’s report. Second by Mike. All in favor, Motion carried.Request was presented by property owner to get permission to dig a tile line thru the Township Road (Chickadee Drive). After some discussion the board granted permission as it had been done before and that the property owner would take care of any damage resulting from the tile line for one year. Ray made the motion to allow, Mike made the second. Motion carried.
Road and Bridge Report: Ray reported on the frost boils on Chickadee Drive and that signs from Breezy Drive and Buckhorn Drive are missing. Discussion on the culvert on Brakken Road which needed repair and now some follow up work. The culvert on 130th will be removed once property owners are notified. Ray also received a request to have the minimum maintenance road off of 144th St. vacated. No decision was made. The mileage certification was done and will be sent to County. Surplus Service requested a new signature card.
Additional agenda items: Ron reported on the Todd County Officers’ Meeting. He stated it was interesting and gave a review of some of the speakers that had been there. An ad will be posted and published for both the ditch mowing and the beach maintenance. The Township does plan on doing some spraying and Ray will get the number for Carr’s Tree Service.

Adjournment: Motion by Mike to adjourn the meeting. Ray made the second. Meeting adjourned at 9:10 p.m.
