Call to Order: Mike Rohe called the meeting to order at 8:00 pm. The pledge of allegiance was recited.
Present Board: Mike Rohe, John Young, Alan Roering and Christine Gagne. Also Present: Erv Herdering and Bob Lanners
Agenda Approval: Mike presented a preliminary agenda and asked for additions or corrections. John moved to approve the agenda, seconded by Alan. Mike called for a vote. Motion carried.
Approval of Minutes: Mike presented the minutes from April meeting and asked if any corrections. John moved to approve the April 7th, 2025 minutes, seconded by Alan. Mike called for a vote. Motion carried.
Approval of Equalization Minutes: Mike presented the minutes from April Equalization meeting and asked if any corrections. Alan moved to approve the Minutes, seconded by John. Mike called for a vote. Motion carried.
Town Clerk Report: Christine presented April claims totaling $10,596.14. John moved to approve the claims, seconded by Alan. Mike called for a vote. Motion carried. Correspondence (mail and emails) were reviewed.
Treasurer’s Report: Christine reported the financials for the month of April, 2025:
-Beginning balance: $202,178.95
-Receipts: $488,554.40
-Sale of Investments: $166,029.88
-Disbursements: $777,942.05
-Purchase of Investments: $40,450.94
-Ending Balance: $38,370.24
-Investment Balance: $187,530.48
-Total Balance: $225,900.72
Christine reported that a Certificate of Deposit is up for renewal with a deadline of May 14th.
John moved to not renew the Certificate and to transfer the funds into the Money Market account. Alan seconded it. Mike called for a vote. Motion was passed.
John moved to accept the Treasurer’s report, seconded by Alan. Mike called for a vote. Motion carried.
Bid Approvals: John made a motion to approve the bids from Herdering Inc. for Class #5 Gravel 2025 season and for Blading Gravel roads 2025 season. Alan seconded it. Mike called for a vote. Motion passed.
Alan made a motion to approve the bid from Hinman Lawn Service for Beach Maintenance. Mike seconded the motion. Mike called for a vote. Motion passed.
Alan made a motion to approve Koda Property Services for the cleanup project on 295th and any additional miscellaneous work needed in 2025. Mike seconded it. Mike called for a vote. Motion passed.
Mike decided we would put ditch mowing bids on the agenda for June.
Public Comments: Mike asked for public comments.
Bob Lanners comments on the need for brush and small tree removal to ensure that the ditches along 130th remain clean and mowed.
Adjournment: John moved to adjourn, seconded by Alan, Mike called for a vote. Motion carried.
Meeting adjourned at 9:10 PM.
