Grey Eagle Township November 7, 2016

These are unapproved minutes.
Call to Order: Ron Frericks called the meeting to order at 8 p.m. The pledge of allegiance was recited.
Members Present: Ron Frericks, Ray Bense, Mary Ann Primus & Mike Rohe.
Agenda Approval: A preliminary agenda was presented. Ron asked if there were additions to the agenda. Mary Ann asked to have the snow contract added to the agenda. Mike made the motion to accept the agenda as amended. Ray made the second. All in favor. Motion carried.
Approval of Minutes: The clerk provided copies of the October 3, 2016 minutes to the board. Mary Ann stated that the motion to have the same election judges as were used in the primary would be incorrect as some who were trained, did not serve for the primary election, however they will be needed for the General election. Ray made the motion to accept the minutes as amended, Mike made the second. Minutes approved.
Town Clerk’s Report: Clerk presented the claims list for October. Claims list included 9 claims 2984-2992 for a total of $6,799.73. Mike made the motion to approve the claims; Ray made the second, Motion carried unanimously. Ray made the motion to let the two CDs renew at CMCU. Mike made the second, Motion carried. Mail received included a letter from P&Z and some advertising.
Road and Bridge Report: Ray reported that he had found someone to do brush cutting along Chipmunk Road and a portion of Brakken Road for $2,000. Ron questioned whether the Township should be doing more brushing this year. Mike stated that if it needed to be done it would only be a matter of time(now or next year). Ray made the motion to get the brushing done. Mike made the second. Motion carried. Ray reported on some road work that needed to be taken care of on an access to Cty. 102 and one on State Hwy 28. Ron reported on the Erdmann property – septic has been hooked up again. Erv H presented the Snow contract for 2016-2017. Rates are the same as last year. Mike made the motion to accept the snow contract. Ray made the second. Motion carried.
Angler Dr. State Park Road Grant application has been submitted by Birchdale Township Board.
Additional agenda items: Fire board meeting is scheduled for November 22, 2016 at 7:00 p.m., Mike will attend.
Public Comment: None.
Adjournment: Motion by Ray to adjourn the meeting. Mike made the second. Meeting adjourned at 8:40 p.m.
