Grey Eagle Township September 11, 2017

Call to Order: Ron Frericks called the meeting to order at 8:00 p.m. The pledge of allegiance was recited.

Members Present: Ron Frericks, Ray Bense, Mary Ann Primus & Mike Rohe.

Agenda Approval: A preliminary agenda was presented. Ron asked if there were additions to the agenda. Ray made the motion to accept the agenda. Mike made the second. All in favor. Motion carried.

Approval of Minutes: The clerk provided copies of the August 14, 2017 minutes to the board. Mike made the motion to accept the minutes, Ray made the second. Minutes approved.

Town Clerk’s Report: Clerk presented the claims list for August. Claims list included claims 3097-3102 for a total of $11,670.51. Ray made the motion to approve the claims; Mike made the second, Motion carried unanimously. Mail included advertising, P&Z letters, trainings, and Ron received a letter from Pollution Control regarding wild rice field protection.

Road and Bridge Report: Ray reported that the work on Chickadee had been completed. The paving projects are scheduled to begin mid September till approx. early October. Ron reported on two calls of trees hanging over the road on Ascot Rd., Ray had also checked them out. Because of safety issues it was decided to trim the trees, the landowners were notified and both Ron and Ray brought bids. Ron made the motion to hire Carr’s Tree Service to do the work, Mike made the second. Motion carried. This year’s mowing project was discussed with the contractor present. No return calls from the contractor, grass clumps on the road and not done in time frame that was required. The contractor agreed to a reduction on the statement and will resubmit for next month. The crack filling project will wait until next spring unless there would be a significant cost increase.

Additional agenda item: The 2020 census will be handled by the Todd County GIS department.

Public Comment: None.

Adjournment: Motion by Ray to adjourn the meeting. Mike made the second. Meeting adjourned at 8:55 p.m.
