Style ‘n Go is a main street hair salon in Grey Eagle owned and operated by Jill Kurowski. She purchased and opened her business in November of 2007 at 115 State Street East after working for the previous owner for a year.
“I have a full service salon and also offer tanning, waxing, manicures, pedicures and acrylic nails,” said Kurowski, who completed cosmetology school and then later business management school at Alexandria Tech. Debbie Hollermann, a part-time employee specializes in acrylic nails. A spa pedicure massage chair is a unique feature of the business. Health machines and Young Living Essential Oils are also offered.
“Making customers happy,” is Kurowski’s goal. She serves about an equal number of women and men, and would like to serve more customers in the community.
Style ‘n Go’s business hours are Tuesday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon.
On the side, Kurowski likes to sew and quilt. She is willing to custom make quilts, wall hangings and table runners and she also knits scarves.
Kurowski is married to husband Ray and is the mother of three sons: Casey, Brandon and Cody.
This is the fourth in a series of stories that feature Grey Eagle/Burtrum Area businesses. The project is sponsored by The Community Builders Organization of Grey Eagle and Burtrum.
