Helen M. Bugge, age 84 of Sauk Centre, formerly of Minneapolis, died peacefully, surrounded by her family on Sunday, September 29, 2019 at the CentraCare Hospital in Sauk Centre, Minnesota.
A Memorial Service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, October 4 at First Lutheran Church in Sauk Centre with Rev. Mike Carlson officiating. A family inurnment will be held at a later date.
Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the service at the church.
Helen Marie Schiley was born September 2, 1935 in Lily, South Dakota to John and Mary (Baisch) Schiley. She grew in up in Webster, South Dakota and graduated from Webster High School. Helen worked at Federal Cartridge where she met the love of her life, Lee Bugge. On November 18, 1966 she married Lee in Denver, Colorado. The couple lived in Minneapolis, Anoka, Osseo, Columbia Heights, New Hope, and Sauk Centre. Helen held a variety of jobs but mainly worked at Honeywell, Litton, and eventually retired from Medtronic in 1999.
She was a member of First Lutheran Church in Sauk Centre. Helen enjoyed golfing, fishing, hunting, snowmobiling, riding motorcycles, traveling, and waterskiing. She was also loved cooking, baking, canning, and most importantly, spending time with her family.
Survivors include her husband, Lee Bugge; children, Mike (Nancy) Pionk, Doug (Wendy) Pionk, and Ron (Sue) Pionk; step-daughters, Sharon (Jim) Ayers and Shelley (Kevin) Heutmaker; 12 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren; and brother, Dick (Alberta) Schiley.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents; son, Dan Pionk; and sisters, Marge Russel and Jean Heath.
Memorials are preferred.
