Highway 15 lane closures in St. Cloud begin April 14
ST. CLOUD, Minn. – Motorists in St. Cloud may encounter overnight lane closures and work crews as both directions of Highway 15 are intermittently reduced to a single lane at the site of the future Highway 15/33rd Street S interchange. The future interchange site is located on Highway 15 about one mile north of Interstate 94.
The lane closures will begin at 8 p.m. daily Monday, April 14 through Wednesday, April 17. All lanes of Highway 15 will open by 6 a.m. the following day.
The closures are needed as crews begin preparatory work for the new Highway 15/33rd Street S interchange in south St. Cloud. The interchange is part of a larger project that will expand 33rd Street S, span the roadway across Highway 15 and construct four roundabouts between Graniteview Road and County Road 74.
When complete, the project will improve mobility and access between the city of St. Cloud, Highway 15, I-94 and future development in south St. Cloud.
The project is being led by the city of St. Cloud and is funded in part by a Transportation Economic Development grant.
