New smoother road surface opens south of Upsala
ST CLOUD, Minn. – Motorists traveling Highway 238 between Albany and Upsala in Stearns and Morrison Counties will encounter detour changes as road segments open and close Friday, June 16.
Motorists can expect the following changes:
Highway 238 between Stearns County Road 17 and Morrison County Road 21/Walnut Avenue opens and detour lifts June 16.
Highway 238 between Stearns County Road 17 and County Road 10 in Albany to close and detour beginning June 16 through mid-September. A signed detour uses Stearns County Roads 10 and 17. Get detour map.
The $3.6 million project will resurface the roadway and improve the roadbed, improve shoulders and replace or repair culverts. When complete in mid-September, the project will improve the ride, safety and drainage along 14 miles of roadway.
