Road will be impassable one-quarter mile south of County Road 230
ST. CLOUD, Minn. – Motorists will encounter a detour on Highway 238 south of Upsala as the road is closed between County Road 17 and County Road 9 Tuesday, Sept. 16.
A signed detour will direct motorists along County Road 17 and County Road 9 through Holdingford, a distance of five miles.
While the closed segment of Highway 238 will remain accessible to local traffic, the road will be impassable one-quarter mile south County Road 230/Barrel Road.
All lanes of Highway 238 will open by Sept. 30.
The closure is needed while crews remove and replace a culvert. The project will improve drainage in the area and help ensure a reliable, efficient local transportation system.
