BAXTER, Minn. –Those who travel on Highway 371 through Baxter should plan for short-term delays and a detour, reports the Minnesota Department of Transportation. On Monday morning, May 8, Highway 371 will close between Highway 210 and College Road South as crews repair the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway crossing.
Motorists will detour along College Road South, Cypress Drive and Highway 210 in Baxter. All lanes will reopen by late Thursday evening, May 11, in time for Minnesota Fishing Opener and Mother’s Day Weekend.
Crews will make repairs within the railroad crossings. Good weather conditions are necessary to complete this work.
