ST. CLOUD, Minn. – Motorists who travel Highway 71 in Sauk Centre may encounter daytime delays as the road is reduced to a single lane at the Highway 71 bridge spanning Sauk Lake after 6:30 a.m. Monday, July 17.
The lane closures will occur from sunrise to sunset, and will be complete by Thursday, July 20. The schedule is weather dependent.
Auto-flaggers mounted on trailers will allow one-way, alternating through the daily work zone. Motorists approaching the work zone must slow down, stop if necessary, and auto-flagger.
The closures are needed while crews repair the bridge’s approaches. When complete, the project will extend the life of the approaches and result in a smoother ride.
