Hildegard E. Barthel

Hildegard E. Barthel, 81 year old resident of Holdingford, MN passed away Friday, September 14, 2018 at her home with her family by her side. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, September 21, 2018 at the Community Country Church in Holdingford, MN with Rev. Gregg Valentine officiating. A visitation will be held from 4-8 P.M. on Thursday and from 10-11 A.M. on Friday at the Community Country Church in Holdingford, MN.
Hilda Wielenberg was born on November 27, 1936 in Sauk Centre, MN to the late Henry and Alvina (Hollermann) Wielenberg. She had four brothers; Alvin (Jackie), Hermie (Irene), Norbert (deceased) Peggy, Herb (Sharon) and one sister, Millie (Vern) Gerads. Hilda was united in marriage to Raymond (Ray) Barthel on August 23, 1955. They were married for 63 years, Hilda loved her family. They inspired her favorite hobbies, crocheting and quilting. She loved to travel with her family to visit her out of state daughter and grandchildren and an occasional trip to the casino with Ray. She was an amazing woman, wonderful cook and loved her flowers. Hilda was the rock of her family and will be truly missed.
Hilda will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Ray and their children; Darlene Kaeter (Marc), Shari (Bill) Mitchell, Brian (Shelley) Barthel, Linda (Roger) Host; daughter-in-law, Gail Barthel; 16 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Hilda was preceded in death by her parents, Henry & Alvina Wielenberg, son, Arnie Barthel and great-grandchild, Nicholas.
