ST. CLOUD, Minn. – Motorists on eastbound Interstate 94 between St. Michael and Monticello will encounter work crews and possible slow or stopped traffic as the road is reduced to a single lane overnight beginning Monday, April 20, through Friday, May 22.
Eastbound I-94 between Highway 241 and County Road 18 will close nightly from 7 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. while crews resurface nine miles of road.
No lane closures are planned on westbound I-94 between Highway 241 and County Road 18.
The project will result in a smoother ride and help ensure MnDOT’s transportation system continues to serve the state for many years.
MnDOT is also undertaking an I-94 improvement project in Rogers and St. Michael this summer. More information on that project is available atwww.mndot.gov/d3/i94/index.html.
Motorists should slow down when approaching the work zones, plan additional time for travel and be aware of changing road configurations until both projects are complete. For real time travel information anywhere in Minnesota, visit www.511mn.org.
