ST CLOUD, Minn. – Motorists who travel westbound Interstate 94 from west of Hasty to Clearwater may encounter slow or stopped traffic as the road is reduced to a single lane after 8 a.m. Wednesday, August 2.
All lanes of I-94 between Hasty and Clearwater will open by 3 p.m. the same day.
The closure is needed while crews conduct preparatory work ahead of a project that will install new steel dowel bars along several test segments of roadway where the existing, 44-year-old dowel bars have failed. Crews will return later in August to install new steel dowel bars along the test segments.
More information on future work and required lane closures will be issued as details become available.
