Jason John Gorka, 43 year old resident of Sobieski, MN passed away Friday, August 30, 2019 at the St. Cloud Hospital in St. Cloud, MN. A Mass of Christian Burial was held Tuesday, September 3, 2019 at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Sobieski, MN with Father Leo Moenkedick officiating. Burial was in St. Edwards Parish Cemetery in Elmdale, MN.
Jason was born on March 1, 1976 in Little Falls, MN to the late John and Joyce (Goebel) Gorka. He grew up in Upsala, MN where he attended and graduated from Upsala High School. He was united in marriage to Cary Blechinger on April 17, 2018 in Las Vegas, NV. Jason worked his entire life in the family business, operating and managing Herbie’s Bar in Sobieski, MN until 2015 when he and his brother Daniel took over the business. In his free time, he enjoyed riding motorcycles, fishing, going on road trips, and watching his son Wyatt play ball. Jason loved having people around him, whether he was socializing with customers at Herbie’s Bar or had friends and family at his house, Jason loved having people around him. He will forever be remembered for his fun, loving and at times goofy spirit. Jason was dearly loved and will be dearly missed.
Jason is survived by wife, Cary Blechinger-Gorka of Sobieski, MN; children, Wyatt Gorka, Grace Boser, Gunner Boser and Riley Boser; siblings, Daniel Gorka of Sobieski, MN, James (Tammy) Gorka of Flensburg, David (Missy) Gorka of Burtrum, MN and Donna Lukasavitz.
Jason was preceded in death by parents, John and Joyce Gorka.
