Jennifer was born on April 2, 1984, in Sauk Centre, Minnesota to Kevin and Debbie (Sand) Wolbeck. She grew up on the family farm near Albany, Minnesota and graduated from Albany High School in 2002. She most recently resided at the Sauk Centre Care Center.
Jennifer was diagnosed with Friedreich’s Ataxia as a young child, but made the most of every day she was given. She participated in Special Olympics while in school and through her young adult years earning many awards, medals, and ribbons during her participation. Jennifer especially loved spending time with her family and friends. She made many friends at the Care Center who became an extension of her family. Jennifer was a huge fan of the Minnesota Twins. She loved watching/listening to the Twins play and enjoyed keeping track of their wins and losses. She had her favorite players over the years, one of which included Brian Dozier whom she got to meet! She always said that was the best day of her life. Jennifer treasured growing up on the family farm where she loved being around the animals. She especially became attached to the family’s pet raccoon, Chrissy. Jennifer loved to listen to the ducklings quacking outside her window at the Care Center, taking long walks, and sitting in the warm sun soaking up the sounds of people talking, the birds singing, and the sounds of the water as it rippled against the shores of Sauk Lake. Jennifer looked forward to playing Bingo every week. So much so that she even had her own specific Bingo card which she had all the numbers memorized! Even after she had lost her eyesight, she would often know she had Bingo or blackout before the person assisting her did! Jennifer will be remembered for her caring heart, quick wit, and wonderful sense of humor.
