Joan Bernice Breth

Joan Bernice Breth, née Loecken, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 26, 2025 at home, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and quiet strength. She was a devoted family member, a loyal friend, and a steady presence in the lives of all who knew her.
She is survived by her husband Thomas Breth, son Russel Eiynk (Blake Turner), son Matt Breth (Audra Keener), son-in-law Jason Bjerke, 6 grandchildren, Kayla Voigt (Trey Voigt), Brandy Hetlund (Olaf Hetlund), Samantha Bjerke, Laney Bjerke, Saylor Keener, and Conner Breth. She also cherished her 3 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by 4 sisters and 1 brother.
Joan was known for her caring nature and generous spirit. She took great pride in her family and found joy in the everyday moments, time spent at the cabin, reading, time spent with family and friends, and shared stories. Her warmth and thoughtfulness left a lasting impression, and she will be remembered for the compassion she showed to others throughout her life.
She faced life with grace and resilience, offering support and encouragement to those around her. Joan’s memory will live in the hearts of her family and friends, who will continue to honor her through the values she embodied.
Joan was preceded in death by her mother and father Emma and Eugene Loecken, daughter Rebecca Bjerke, sisters Charlene, Charlotte and Bonnie Loecken. She is survived by family members and friends who will deeply miss her and cherish the many memories they shared.
A private memorial to honor Joan’s life will be held at a time chosen by her family.
