JoAnn “Joni” Imdieke-Uhlenkamp, age 70 of Sauk Centre, passed away unexpectedly from complications of chemotherapy on Monday, December 22, 2025 at the St. Cloud Hospital in St. Cloud, Minnesota.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, January 10, 2026 at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Sauk Centre with Rev. Kevin Soenneker officiating. She will be buried next to her son, Michael, at St. Paul’s cemetery privately at a later date.
Per Joni’s request, no visitation will be held prior to the Mass. A Celebration of Life will follow the Mass at the American Legion in Sauk Centre.
JoAnn Beste was born October 7, 1955 in Sauk Centre, Minnesota to Clarence and Kathryn (Deters) Beste. She graduated from Sauk Centre High School in 1974. Joni was blessed with two sons, Matthew and Michael. Her passions in life were golfing and sitting on the dock listening to her transistor radio doing word find puzzles and feeding her sunfish.
She loved being outside. If she was on the golf course, you usually heard her before you saw her. “Woooo!” was usually heard on a good shot. Joni was blessed with many great friends and was also blessed with a great family and grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, Pat Uhlenkamp of Sauk Centre; mother, Kathryn Olmscheid of Sauk Centre; children, Matt Imdieke (Mindy Dawson) of Sauk Centre, Nicole (Jason) Naasz of Bemidji, and Alicia Becker (Cody) of Little Sauk; grandchildren, Isaac, Jacob, Avery, Vincent, Eva, Clayton, Logan, and Cameron; brothers and sister, Jim (Linda) Beste of Sauk Centre, Jason (Cathy) Beste of Sauk Centre, Janet (John) Pastian of Hudson, Wisconsin, and John Beste of Melrose; and many loving relatives and friends.
Joni was preceded in death by her father, Clarence Beste; step-father, Leo Olmscheid; son, Michael Imdieke on March 18, 2000; and sister, Jean Thang.
Arrangements were made with Patton-Schad Funeral & Cremation Services of Sauk Centre.
