The Mass of Christian Burial, celebrating the life of Kevin Stanoch, age 55 of St. Joseph, was held 11:00 AM, Saturday, September 30 at the St. Columbkille Catholic Church in St. Wendel. Burial was in the parish cemetery. Kevin died Tuesday at his home in St. Joseph from complications of cancer.
Kevin was born November 14, 1961 in St. Cloud to Alphonse and Eileen (Befort) Stanoch. He married Julie Stich on May 14, 1983 in the St. Columbkille Catholic Church. Kevin farmed on his own farm raising beef and crops. Kevin was a mentor to many others. He enjoyed his time spent assisting with coaching his son’s football & baseball teams, showing cattle and supporting his children’s activities and interests. Kevin could be found most mornings sharing his humor and opinions with his friends. He thoroughly enjoyed his role as grandpa to his granddaughter, Claire. He was a member of the St. Columbkille Catholic Church.
Kevin is survived by his parents, Alphonse and Eileen Stanoch, Holdingford; his wife, Julie Stanoch, St. Joseph, his two children, Amanda (Brandon) Rudnicki, Holdingford and Aaron Stanoch, St. Joseph and his granddaughter, Claire Rudnicki. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters, Rick (Carol) Stanoch, Holdingford; Debbie (Doug) Stewart, Little Falls; Dennis Stanoch, Holdingford; Connie Kostreba, Holdingford; John (Jen) Stanoch, Waconia; Jodi (Gerald “Moonie”) Knutson, Holdingford and sister-in-law, Deb Stanoch, Holdingford.
He is preceded in death by his brother, Neil “Curly” Stanoch in 2004.
