Leonard W. Birkholz, age 79, of Blaine passed away March 9, 2015. Leonard was preceded in death by his parents, Henry & Dorothy; and brother, Alvin. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Marlene; children, Charles (Pam) Birkholz, Carol (Carl) Jauch, Kyle (Julie) Birkholz; grandchildren, Joshua (Patricia), Kelsey, Bridget (Joshua), Isaac, and Gabriel; brother, David (ReNee) Birkholz; and other relatives and friends.
Leonard retired from the SLP school system as an elementary teacher in 1993, then he became a vegetable farmer. He grew vegetables on his farmland by Swan Lake in Todd County.
Funeral service was held Saturday, March 14 at Spirit of Christ Lutheran Church in Ham Lake, MN. Interment took place at Lakeview Cemetery, Grey Eagle, MN on March 16.
