LeRoy H. “Butch” Lambrecht

Memorial Service will be held at 11 am, Saturday, April 4, 2015 at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Swanville for LeRoy H. “Butch” Lambrecht, age 71, of Swanville, who passed away at his home on Sunday. Rev. Kevin Zellers will officiate and burial will take place at 11 am Monday at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery, Camp Ripley, Minnesota. Family and friends may call one hour prior to services Saturday at the church.
LeRoy was born November 15, 1943 in Little Falls, Minnesota, the son of Adelbert and Laura (Nordin) Lambrecht. He grew up near Pillsbury and graduated from Swanville High School in 1961. He entered the United States Navy in October of 1961 and served 5 tours of duty in Vietnam. LeRoy was discharged from the service in 1971. He later moved to Alaska. LeRoy was employed by House of Tires in Wasilla, Alaska. He married Debora Sand on July 12, 1984 in Palmer, Alaska. They later moved to Swanville in 1990. He was a mechanic for Tom Blais Ford in Long Prairie and later for Moll Ford in Little Falls. He retired in 2005. LeRoy drove school bus for the Swanville School District for several years.
LeRoy was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Swanville American Legion, Swanville Senior Center, and a retired volunteer Fireman for Swanville. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, fishing in Alaska, going for boat rides, watching TV, and playing with his dogs, Tinker and Toby.
LeRoy is survived by his wife, Debora, Swanville; children, James (Kelly) Hoylman, Palmer, AK; Tina (Robert) Everly, Brewster, WA; Brandy Miller, Conneaut, OH; Nicole Shay, Texas; and Danielle Porcher, Palmer, AK; brother, Warren (Sally Kirn) Lambrecht, Chino Hills, CA; sisters, Karen (Jack) Ring, Little Falls; Kayla Sobiech, Randall; Brenda (Dennis) Schmidt, Swanville; Sheila Maciej, Swanville; and Wanda (Leonard) Holmquist, Long Prairie; sisters-in-law, Cheryl Lambrecht, Burtrum; and Shelly (Gerald) Tostenson, Long Prairie; also 14 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers, Darwin “Buzz”, Vern, and Kenny.
