Loren D. Schwanke

Loren D. Schwanke, age 63 of Rice, died peacefully on Thursday, June 4, 2020 at his home in Rice, Minnesota.
A private family graveside service will be held at a later date at Lakeview Cemetery in Grey Eagle.
Loren Dean Schwanke was born December 20, 1956 in Sauk Centre, Minnesota to Dean and Magdalen “Toots” (Gerads) Schwanke. He graduated from Long Prairie High School in 1976. Loren enjoyed his crop-dusting service, farming, and later was employed at Electrolux. He retired in 2019.
Loren was the middle of three boys and was a very kind, loving, and gentle soul. He enjoyed his family and especially his hunting trips with his dad.
Survivors include his mother, Magdalen “Toots” Schwanke; brothers, Ron (Susan) Schwanke and Lee (Mary Lynn) Schwanke; nieces and nephews, Brittany, Brock, Bowen, Patrick, and Erin; and two great-nieces.
Loren was preceded in death by his father, Dean Schwanke in 2008; grandparents, Carl and Loretta Gerads and Walter and Katie Schwanke.
