Lorene A. “Lori” Zierden, age 62 of Blackduck, formerly of New Munich, passed away Sunday, February 18, 2024 at her home in Blackduck, Minnesota.
A Celebration of Life gathering will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, February 24 at the Patton-Schad Funeral Home in Melrose. Private inurnment will be at Immaculate Conception Cemetery in New Munich.
Lori Ann Zierden was born on June 16, 1961 in Melrose, Minnesota to Edmund and Mary Ann (Koenig) Zierden. She attended New Munich Elementary School and graduated from Melrose High School in 1979. She lived on the family farm all her life, 62 years, until moving to Blackduck.
Lori was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in New Munich, where she played guitar for over 30 years. She enjoyed baking, Disney, and collecting pins and broaches since she was 18 years old. She also enjoyed spending time with her great nieces and nephews.
Survivors include her mother, Mary Ann Zierden of Melrose; sister, Ruth Zierden of Brainerd; nephews Doug (Erin) Zierden of St. Cloud, and Tony (Heather) Zierden of Bemidji; niece, Amy (Josh) Meyer of South Haven; and great nieces and nephews, Riley, Mady, and Carter Zierden, Brionna and Lily Zierden, and Donovon, Arianna, and Courtney Meyer.
Lori was preceded in death by her father, Edmund Zierden; brother and sister-in-law, Ken and Mickey Zierden; grandparents, George and Mary Koenig and Mathias and Mary Zierden; and many aunts and uncles.
