Lori L. Rahn, age 54 of Burtrum, died peacefully in her sleep Saturday, March 31, 2018 at her home in Burtrum, Minnesota.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, April 6 at the Patton-Schad Funeral Home in Grey Eagle. No services will be held.
Lori Lynn Slimmer was born February 29, 1964 in Shakopee, Minnesota to Harry and Virginia (Richardson) Slimmer. She graduated from Swanville High School in 1982 and continued her education at Brainerd Vo-Tech. She was united in marriage to Loren Rahn on November 12, 1983 in Burtrum. Lori worked various jobs while raising three sons. She was a hard worker and an animal lover. She raised pigs, horses and had pet goats, raccoons, and dogs. In 2012, Lori and Loren purchased and operated Palace Bar and Grill in Sauk Centre.
Lori enjoyed spending time with friends and family including the Swanville kids and her “fourth son” Jordan Thieschafer. She gave everyone nicknames and had many herself; too many to list. She also enjoyed camping, snowmobiling, and was an avid collector of Mickey Mouse memorabilia.
Survivors include her husband, Loren Rahn of Burtrum; sons, Loren “Joe” (Elizabeth) Rahn of White Bear Lake, Josh “Sweet Pea” Rahn of Blomington, and Jake “Animal” (Beth) Rahn of Pillsbury; three grandchildren, William, Bennett, and Luke Rahn; sisters and brother, Brenda (Wayne) Korman of Rice, Danny (Diane) Slimmer of Rice, and Kimberly “Skank” (Dale “Daisy”) Spiczka of Burtrum; many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends; and her Pitbull, Lady.
Lori was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Virginia Slimmer.
