Lydia E. Doll

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 13, 2014 at St. Martin Catholic Church in St. Martin, MN for Lydia E. Doll, age 84, who died Friday at St. Cloud Hospital due to complications with Alzheimer’s. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Relatives and friends may call from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the St. Martin Parish Hall. Parish prayers will be at 7:30 p.m. followed by a rosary with the Christian Women, St. Anne’s Society, and Catholic United Financial. Visitation will continue Wednesday from 9:00 – 10:15 a.m. at the parish hall.
Lydia was born in Farming Township to Joseph and Mary (Derichs) Janssen. She married Sylvester Doll on May 18, 1953 in St. Catherine’s Catholic Church in Farming. Lydia enjoyed being with her family, baking, canning, quilting, embroidery, and always had an open freezer with plenty of ice cream for everyone. She was a member of St. Martin Parish, the St. Martin Christian Women, St. Anne’s Society, and Catholic United Financial.
Survivors include her children, David (Lori) Doll, Mary Ann (Mark) Primus, Elizabeth (Harvey) Middendorf, Rose Ann (Jack) Rademacher, Karen (Larry) Fleischhacker, Richard (Deb) Doll, Gary (Leenay) Doll, and Thomas Doll; 30 grandchildern; 26 great-grandchildren with 3 on the way; in-laws, Veronica Janssen, Marie Janssen, Virgil (Florine) Doll, Rita (Al) Feldewerd, and Therese Doll.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Sylvester (2002); brothers, John, Ben, Arnold, and Valerian. Arrangements are with Wenner Funeral Home, Cold Spring, MN.
