Marcus J. “Mick” Engle, age 77 of Sauk Centre and Abbeville, Alabama, died peacefully surrounded by family on Saturday, January 6, 2024 at his home in Alabama.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held Tuesday, January 16 at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Sauk Centre with Rev. Mark Botzet officiating. Interment was in the parish cemetery.
Marcus James Engle was born September 17, 1946 in Melrose, Minnesota to Lester and Eleanor (Beste) Engle. Mick graduated from Sauk Centre High School and furthered his education at Alexandria Technical College where he took up welding. He was united in marriage to Susan Marie Terfehr on February 19, 1966. He worked at Gillies Welding Shop until he opened Engle Fabrication. He was a member of St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Sauk Centre. Mick enjoyed multiple years of Drag Racing, raising cattle, hobby farming, and most of all, being the “Boss”.
Survivors include his sons, Michael (Janna) Engle of Sauk Centre and Dustin Engle of Sauk Centre; five grandchildren, Ethan, Nelson, Lily, Riley and Rykin; brothers, Joe Engle, Lynn (Janet) Engle, Paul (Arlene) Engle, Bruce (Laurie) Engle all of Sauk Centre, Perry (Molly) Engle of Maplewood, Dan Engle of Little Sauk, and Roger (Carol) Engle of West Union; sisters, Paulette Tabatt of St. Cloud and Bonnie Tiemann of Sauk Centre; sister-in-law, Joyce Klimek; brother-in-law, Mark Terfehr; and many nieces and nephews.
Mick was preceded in death by his wife, Susan Engle on January 18, 2014; parents; son, Todd Engle; sisters-in-law, Karen and Kim Engle; and brothers-in-law, Tom Tiemann and John Terfehr.
Arrangements were made with Patton-Schad Funeral & Cremation Services of Sauk Centre.
