Margaret Wikle

Margaret Wikle passed away with her loving friend by her side at the CentraCare Long Prairie Hospital on Sunday, July 12th 2020.
A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, July 15 at Greenwood Cemetery in Sauk Centre.
Margaret was a warm and friendly person who enjoyed joking around and laughing.
Margaret enjoyed socializing, cooking, staying connected to people by writing letters, watching birds, listening to music, reading her bible, going out to eat for a good hamburger, playing Yahtzee, visiting with children and attending church services.
As a child Margaret resided with her parents in the Sauk Centre area. Margaret attended the country school near her home from kindergarten through the eighth grade.
When she was a teenager she resided for a few years at the Children’s Hospital in St. Paul as she underwent surgeries for her polio condition. She lived with 16 other girls at that time.
Upon her return home from her stay in the cities, Margaret resided with her parents and attended the Sauk Centre High School until her graduation.
After graduating from school Margaret resided with a few friends in the Sauk Centre and then in the Long Prairie area.
Through her adult years, Margaret worked with the WACOSA and STEP agencies.
Margaret was an only child. She had a sister that passed away as an infant. Her mom, Elizabeth Wikle, passed in 1987. Her father, Pearl Wikle passed away in 1993. She is survived by cousins in MN and Iowa.
Arrangements were made with Patton-Schad Funeral & Cremation Services, Sauk Centre.
