A celebration of life was held Sunday, Oct. 7, 2012 at River of Life Church in Cold Spring for Marian A. Theimer, age 91, who passed away Wednesday, October 3, 2012 at her home. Pastor Denny Curran officiated and burial will be at St. Marcus Cemetery, Clear Lake at a later date.
Marian was born July 25, 1921 in Mora to Raymond & Cassie (Lockard) Dalbey. She married Richard Theimer on Nov. 25, 1944 in Minneapolis. They lived in Minneapolis and Richfield before moving to Briggs Lake near Clear Lake where they resided for 28 years. They moved to Avon in 2000. Marian was a homemaker and also worked at AT&T Telephone Co., Donaldson’s Bank in Richfield, and at the switchboard at the St. Cloud Hospital. She enjoyed baking, cooking, crossword puzzles and beating everyone she played at scrabble. More than anything she enjoyed being with her family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Survivors include her daughters, Sharon (Randy) Rousseau of Olathe, KS, Pamela Theimer of Little Falls, Sandra (Greg) Terwey of St. Augusta, Shelley Hansen of Kansas City, MO, and Robin (Jim) Hentges of Avon; grandchildren, Jim, Tammy, Vicky, Shannon, Chad, Neil, Emily, Mark, Kami, Troy, Tracy, Tony, Sara, Nicole, Michael, Nathan, Jeremiah, Derek, Dani, and Jacqui; 33 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Winnie Dalbey of New Port, OR.
Marian was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Richard on Jan. 13, 2001; son, Donald on July 5, 2008; and brother, Glenn Dalbey.
