
Marlene R. Richards, age 73 of Sauk Centre, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on Friday, January 12, 2018 at the CentraCare Health Nursing Home in Sauk Centre, Minnesota.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 16 at Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Church in Sauk Centre with Rev. Greg Paffel officiating. A family inurnment will be held at a later date at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Melrose.
Marlene Rose Dullinger was born May 12, 1944 in Collegeville, Minnesota to Louis and Frances (Kruse) Dullinger. She was united in marriage to John Richards. Marlene worked at Geno’s in Duluth for a number of years until she moved to Melrose. She then worked at Jennie-O until her retirement in 2007. She was a member of Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Church in Sauk Centre. Marlene enjoyed going to garage sales, playing cards and BINGO, traveling, Elvis, the Road Runner, and loved spending time with her family, especially with her grandson, Bryant.
Survivors include her children, Jon Richards of St. Cloud and Mary Richards of Melrose; grandson, Bryant Hanson; sister, Loretta (Alcuin) Renneker of Melrose; and brother, Bob (Deb) Dullinger of Stillwater.
Marlene was preceded in death by her husband, John Richards; parents, Louis and Frances Dullinger; and sister, Dorothy Groff.
Arrangements were made with Patton-Schad Funeral & Cremation Services of Sauk Centre.
