Mary Jayne Chuba passed away December 20, 2024 at the age of 84 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born December 13, 1940. Mary Jayne graduated from Crosby High School. She attended the University of Minnesota and graduated with a dental assisting degree. On November 26, 1960 she was united in marriage to Roger Harry Chuba, they were married 57 glorious years. Mary Jayne worked as a dental assistant, a para at the Upsala School, owned and operated a chicken barn, and traveled the states doing craft shows. Her most important job was being a mom to her four children, Rodney, Mark, Lynn, and Michael. She was a member of the Upsala Lions, city council, and a member of the St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Swanville. Her favorite pastimes were hanging out at the family cabin in Emily, MN, crocheting, watching the Hallmark channel, trips to Vegas, and watching her grandchildren play sports.
Mary Jayne is survived by her children, Rodney (Jackie), Mark (Brenda), Lynn Depa, Michael (Tracy); grandchildren: Ryan (Kristen), Angie (Travis), Jena (Tegan), Andrew (Brianna), Cody, Dylan, Haden (Mariah), Kennedee, and Delaney. Ten great-grandchildren: Benjamin, Adley, Makenzie, Grant, Madilyn, Remvi, Macie, Jackson, Marin, and Maven. Sister-in-law Shirley (Bob) Clear.
Mary Jayne is preceded in death by her husband, Roger; parents, Thurston and Julia Bjorndahl.
A private Celebration of Life will be held for immediate family at a later date. Taking care of Mary Jayne’s arrangements is the Cremation Society of Minnesota.
