Maya Ayala

June 17, 2020 by Hometown News

Celebration of Life was held Saturday, June 13, 2020 at Lake Charlotte, Long Prairie for Maya Ayala, age 18, who passed away June 6, 2020.
Maya Laina Ayala was born on November 24, 2001 to Ashley Ayala and Rigoberto Ayala. From the moment she was born, she brought joy and happiness to everyone who knew her. She always had a smile on her face and a twinkle in her eye. She loved to sing, dance, and listen to music. Maya also loved gymnastics and loved to swim. She was artistic in many ways, whether it be her makeup, her drawings, or her DIY projects. Her heart was filled with so much love for her family and friends. When she was young, she got the opportunity to go with her dad to visit her family in Mexico and California. Though her life here on earth was way too short, she will always be remembered as being bubbly, energetic, happy and carefree.
Maya is survived by her mother, Ashley Ayala, her father, Rigoberto Ayala, brothers: Damian, Carson, and Brycen. Grandparents, Arvin and Cindy Wardien, Grandmother, Evangelina Zamora, special friend Nick and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Maya’s life will continue through the six people she saved by donating her organs.
